We're making our way through our current decade in my billboard project and, in doing so, I wanted to do things a bit differently with this decade. I don't want to reveal the final results of this billboard project until 2016 is over so that I can have the most up-to-date version of my list of most popular songs of all time. That means I could either post lists of the most popular songs from 2010 to 2015 over the course of six weeks and then do nothing for three months. Or I could space them out from now to the end of the year. I've chosen the latter. And in between years, I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to post my top 10 favorite songs of each year from this decade. This is something I've done on a personal level at the end of each year, but now I get to consolidate all those lists into one place. And I get the chance to revise each list based on certain parameters that I came up with last year. My parameters here are that, in order to be eligible for the list, the song had to debut on the Hot 100 during the calendar year. Thus with this list of my favorite songs of 2010, these aren't necessarily songs that were popular during 2010 or songs that were released in 2010. And I'm not limiting myself to the top 10 like I do with my favorite "hits" of each decade list. This is taken from the pool of 466 songs that debuted on the Hot 100 during 2010. Enjoy!
